1986 documentary of the music scene in Athens, Ga. Features interviews with Peter Buck of REM, members of the B-52's, other figures in the Athen's art scene, and the film's director and editor, Tony Gayton and Adam Wolfe, respectively. It also features rare early performance footage of REM, the B-52's, as well as other local bands including Time Toy, The Squalls, Pylon, Love Tractor, Flat Duo Jets, Dream So Real, The Bar-B-Q Killers, Kilkenny Cats, and Limbo District.

Jun 8, 2008 - Dexter lived in Athens for quite awhile. Some classic stories of his "existance" there can be found if you look hard enough. Suffice it to say it took a steel stomach and affinity for grime to roll the way D.R. did it back in the day.

Jan 4, 2009 - Athens still has a pretty thtriving music scene. With venues like the 40 watt, the Georgia Theater, and the Flicker Theater among others there is a good show almost every night downtown. Nationally known bands today like The Whigs and Perpetual Groove call Athens home.
