Jan 7, 2009 - Actually, its probably vice versa, in that you can hear elements of his (real) British accent in his (fake) American one. This is long before he was doing the American accent regularly, and he still says today that he has to concentrate really hard on the American accent, so I doubt that it was slipping in 10 years ago.

Jan 9, 2009 - The "on a break" remark? That's an old running gag in Friends. When Ross and Rachel were having troubles, Ross fell in love with another women and Rachel insists that he cheated on her but Ross insists that they were "on a break" and so it didn't count. It really upsets Rachel whenever anyone takes Ross's side of the argument.
