Dec 29, 2008 - There music was real. Every band has studio musicians at one time or another. They never had anyone sing for them, it was all their own vocals, and they played their own instruments. In the beginning they were under the musical control of a butt-hole who wouldnt allow them to play their own instruments, so when they finally managed to get rid of him they did what they wanted from then on. If The Monkees are fakes, then so are about a half of a billion other famous bands.

Dec 30, 2008 - I did too, and when he came to watch our school musical of 'Bugsy Malone' I could barely contain myself! He was a really genuine guy too. Reminds me of 1970's summer holidays, White Horses, Zorro, Why Don't You, Flash Gordon, Lassie, Champion The Wonder Horse & those hysterical Public Information films LOL.
