This Happy Breed by Noel Coward

A short excerpt from towards the end of the play, this is the beginning of the scene I am doing in my Scene Study Class (I play Vi only in the actual scene). The setting is that Vi, her Aunt Sylvia and two other members of the family have just finished dinner. It is September 1938 and they have just heard the announcement that Neville Chamberlain has signed a peace agreement with Hitler in Munich. Please don't consider this an example of my acting abilities, running the scene a couple of times for the camera with no-one to look at or respond to gives a very stilted performance. As to the accent - it comes and it goes, I can do it better than this, I seem to keep going all Frank Spencer meets Dick Van Dyke and then my vowels turn Scottish every now and then.

Feb 8, 2007 - I really like your accent. It would show more personality while an act, in stead of everyone speaking plain English. You did very well, it seemed quite real. Will be looking forward for more :)
