Hyundai Tiburon Clear Corner DIY Guide. WARNING: Do this DIY at your own risk Here's how we removed the "drunken H" emblems off my 2003 Tiburon. Many think that "Goo Gone" is what you should use to clear off the gunk. Goo Gone will remove your clear coat if not used properly. I personally believe that it's best to stay away from using potent chemicals such as Goo Gone. Stick with All Purpose Cleaner as it will not harm your surface area. During the shooting of this DIY, Kasia and I were outside in a park on a cold November day. HEAT helps to losen the gunk, so if you can have a blow dryer handy and use that to heat up the gunk then wipe it off. It'll come off a lot easily than it did for us. "Fishing Line" is an alternative to cable ties. Q&A: Q) WHERE DO I GET THE EMBLEMS FROM? A) There are many places to buy them from. Visit www.newtiburon.com for vendor information. I am not a vendor, I am just a Tiburon owner.

Dec 11, 2007 - I don't understand. It's the same damn car, why do you need to change the name?. I can understand that Flying H logo can look cheap, but it's still a Hyundai no matter what.

Dec 14, 2007 - The Tuscany IS a Hyundai. It's the new Tiburon high-end trim package basically.

Dec 14, 2007 - I would suggest using "Goo-Gone" to remove the original adhesive residue - less chance of scratching the paint. A little heat from a hair dryer will soften the adhesive and make badge removal easier. Clever use of ty-wraps!

May 14, 2008 - Well, not in the US right?, to the best of my knowlege, it's only for Korean and European market is it not? I see no reason to change the name for it, for it IS Tiburon no matter what.

May 21, 2008 - i'm not trying to be mean, but you are wrong. Tuscani is what we call tiburons here in Korea. it doesnt have anything to do with trim package. even the I4 trims have the tuscani badges on em. :) and people put tuscani badges on them here in the states just because it looks cooler.
lth0221 Says:
May 22, 2008 - Nope, doesnt have anything to do with the trim level. every tiburons in korea, (tuscani) has the same emblem even the 4bangers

Jul 15, 2008 - I wouldnt reccomend cable ties my ANY means - theyre just too brittle and scratch paintwork. Double up some dental floss, and cut through using that - much safer.
Slambz Says:
Sep 16, 2008 - I used bug and tar remover, that is recommended for cars. Just spray the badges and let them soak, then I used mouth floss and the badge came off with almost all of the gunk. Then, spray the gunk with the bug and tar remover, and used a rubber scrapper, and it got rid of all of the goo, with nothing left over.
ScottieTalent Says:
Sep 23, 2008 - ***to get the gunk off*** go buy a cheap pack of childs pencils with colorful holiday erasers. they are smooth rubber, and act the same as the professional body shop drill attachment. they will remove any sort of glue or sticker or "gunk" without harming or even fogging the clearcoat ;)
