Jan 8, 2009 - You're right, McCain WAS a true patriot when he stood up for his country and fellow servicemen in the past. But he was taken in by the party machine in this election and became something that probably didn't even truly represent him. I admired him before the election and I still do because I think that what transpired wasn't truly him. But you can't blame Mellencamp for not wanting his music to represent what McCain became.
