See for yourself how they sell us out in this startling comparison between what really happened on August 21st, 2003 in Portland, Oregon, and what they say about what happened. Oct 25, 2008 - "They're very concerned about anti-capitalist behavior" Do you really believe that "they're" afraid of a bunch of white suburban teenagers who meet online to discuss RATM and Noam Chomsky? Do you really blieve the anverage American gives half a shit about your radical politics? Anti-capitalism is a non-existant political force on the margins of society. There is not, never was and never will be a significant anarchist movement in this country or anywhere else for that matter.

Oct 29, 2008 - Anarchy to free humanity! Fuck the corporation.
paulp1021 Says:
Oct 31, 2008 - Fuck CNN, and Fox News. MSNBC I admit is getting a little bit better now. By kind of balancing their line up by having Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow on their station.
yakmanyhad Says:
Nov 2, 2008 - The trouble begins when corporate powers begin to notice that people are treating their TVs like exterior brains, something that does the thinking for them. It's the ideal psychological tool because it only generates output and excludes input, unlike something as radical as like, say, YouTube, Wikipedia, or any number of internet sources. Sadly, if America does not support network neutrality, we may see the internet go the way of the television.

Nov 5, 2008 - The woman who made this film has made another that i watched a while ago, anyone know what it was called? It was about police filming protesters with cam corders.
rosasparx Says:
Nov 5, 2008 - "we're fabulous, don't fuck with us!" that's cute!

mountain19 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - gov. always sends in infiltrators with slogans to deter the truth being said by protestors who organized in the first place. reporters? some people will do anything for money. first us then them and so on right up the picking order.
mowgli2071 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I don't think they (the corporation) even come close to missing the point. They know very well what the point is, even if they pretend not to get it. The thing that worries my admittedly small little mind, is that i'm halfway through and still haven't caught FROM THE youtube VIDEO, (and if someone in the comment section has to explain it, that doesn't help, does it?) what the demonstration is about! As for the fetish with masks/clothing, um, "move through the masses, like a fish through water".
mowgli2071 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - ditto.
mowgli2071 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - That relies on the ethics of people who, if they had ethics in the first place wouldn't be doing those jobs. I share Micheal Moore's opinion of public relations people, whether they dress up as journalists, or are bold-faced about what they are.
1gregmichael Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - the mainstream media is like professional wrestling. It's all a phony show/ circus.
lbcerg7 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - I remember what the news used to be like, and it used to be news. It changed when the famous picture of the little girl running naked down the street in Vietnam was shown on the 6:00 news. That's when they started to outlaw war dead on the news. It was too graphic!!! I was young, but I remember. The mainstream media are owned, totally. It's so sad, and people sit around after dinner, the way people have always done and they watch this total propaganda. You do a great job of showing the "spin."
thorne36 Says:
Nov 30, 2008 - "Any dictator would admire the uniformity and obedience of the U.S. media." -Noam Chomsky. This is a terrifying example of that quote.

conspil Says:
Dec 8, 2008 - I bet that these 'pro bush' guys were provocateurs. This is something that governments use all the time so the chances are high enough. Plus you really have to be a moron to walk into this crowd carrying such an outrageous sign... Unless you were sent there in order to discredit the protesters...
blaziermissy Says:
Dec 15, 2008 - Don't think for a second that your opinion is not purposely molded by the media. There are multiple incidences all over the world where the CIA stage revolts or infiltrate protests in countries to provoke and stage events, even in our own country.
blaziermissy Says:
Dec 15, 2008 - Psychologically, associating the word "Anarchy" or Unpatriotic with black clothing or the words liberal or protester paints a psychological message to millions of viewers, solidifying prejudice and negative connotations against TRUE PATRIOTIC citizens who practice dissent.
blaziermissy Says:
Dec 15, 2008 - I agree with one of the commenters here. YOU did a FANTASTIC JOB pointing out the spin and the psychological hypocrisy of the media.
BHornstein05 Says:
Jan 3, 2009 - Pathetic that you can't even show your face
lucky7z Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - I wonder what kind of force the media would have brought with them if the protesting group were a bunch of really pissed of war vets. War vets probably wouldn't have been so peaceful, lol.
