Oct 20, 2008 - yes but now the term is used including bands like 30 seconds to mars and similar stuff...this makes me angry...

Oct 21, 2008 - the gloria record came right after mineral broke up, and chirs simpson wasn't in zookper or mortal enemy the drummer from mineral was in zoo keeper try not getting all your facts from the emogame

Oct 21, 2008 - Gabe Wiley Mineral drummer, went on to play w/ Pop Unknown not Zoo Keeper. Jay Gomez, Mineral bassist, played in Gloria Record. Scott McCarver, Mineral guitarist went on to form Pretty the Quick Black Eyes. Mortal Enemy was an early 90s christian thrash band from CO. You could probably find out that much if you just Googled it. Not trying to "one up you," just wanted to set the record straight-- that's all. Let's be friend mate-- we both love the same band right.

Oct 21, 2008 - p.s. answer a Mineral trivia question and I'll send you an 8x10 print of the band. I've shot them in Denver, Boulder, Austin and Cincinati. What was the name of the Mineral demo and which two songs were on it? JJN

Oct 21, 2008 - oh yeah, it was pop unknown not zookeeper but you're right

Oct 24, 2008 - i think rites of spring [guy picciotto from fugazis early band] kicked of emo first or "emocore" or whatever youd like to call it, they were aboot before both pavement and fugazi.

Nov 16, 2008 - Is this actually them? At first I thought it was a cover group, but then the singer's hair just oozed late-90s awesomeness. I freakin' miss Mineral, Gloria Record notwithstanding.

Oct 20, 2008 - No I wouldn't say Mineral started emo, but who did? Fugazi or Pavement are the oldest I can think of. What say you? p.s. emo is equally as nebulous a term today as it was in the mid 90s-- there are 31 flavors and then some.
