There's a reason chimps, rats and such are in common usage (chimps less so nowadays), and thats because their systems are SO like ours that the testing produces credible results. Also, there are rigerous rules and standards in American medical labs. They don't torture animals anymore. In fact, most researchers get attached to their charges... though, technically, impartiality is important too.
