Oct 11, 2008 - I know your responding to the other person, but I play both the violin and cello, normal and electric, and have for seven years.
Al0u Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - This piece wasn't difficult to play. They showed no musicianship or skill at all with this piece. And they didn't even play in tune for part of the piece. Horrible group.
aria099 Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - I know, I'm not fond of this group either. If you listen closely, you can hear the 1st violinist's trouble with string crossings, and how its been digitally re-done to sound better.
Leppok900 Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - I don't think they intend to be the best technical string players I think they aim to put sex appeal into music, making strings more popular to the youth Which I think they do quite well
JohnByeBye Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - Did either of you watch this video and make your assumptions or have you seen other bond videos before? aria099 explain at what timeframe you claim to hear "trouble with string crossings" which I find hard to believe. Al0u have you always had trouble with being pitch deaf? Again, show me the timeframe at which not playing in tune occurs.

Shalimar1 Says:
Oct 26, 2008 - I play the violin for twenty years now and I also played an electric one. Yes you can give anyone a violin, but there are a lot of people who play very false and never learn because they won't hear the difference. I think the Bond girls are really talented, it's not something you can do from one day onto another. And if people say that they can or criticize them well they just will have to proof it then.. Can't wait for that big joke!!

Oct 28, 2008 - ha, and who said that playing a classical instrument can't be sexy XO

Oct 31, 2008 - very good vivaldi song winter
whoryhobopowers Says:
Nov 2, 2008 - I agree. I think Bond is more of a group that doesn't focus on how difficult a piece is. But how it's presented. I mean, we've all seen the old moldy dudes in suits playing these pieces, but seeing 4 hot women playing them is something else. Besides, who said a piece had to be difficult for it to sound good? People seem to fail in realizing that.
DarkesLuk Says:
Nov 4, 2008 - i like the violin its my second favorite instrument

adjoslyn Says:
Dec 12, 2008 - what an overproduced gimmick - they are good players- but there are lots of string quartets with beautiful women that can match the talent--- got to hand it to the producers Mike Batt and Mel Bush - get some hot women - put some techno music to it- with lots of KISS pyrotechnics =pop success. lame
mystupidusernamehere Says:
Dec 12, 2008 - You're an idiot.
JohnManGeeJay Says:
Dec 16, 2008 - omg no u r
JohnManGeeJay Says:
Dec 16, 2008 - None-the-less, his points valid.
KriegerVII Says:
Dec 16, 2008 - It's not a point, really... it's more of an opinion. Which, of course, is fine by me as long as it doesn't start a flame-war. I do, however, have to say the obvious-if you don't like it, don't listen to/watch it. :)
fortminorrap2 Says:
Jan 2, 2009 - frankly it most other classical bands werent so old fashioned and scared of change theyd do better. bond is sucessful because they arent scared to innovate

Oct 11, 2008 - in fact, it is the instrument itself that determines the difficulty. True, you can hand a four year old a violin and teach them to play twinkle twinkle little star. But the high positions on the violin are difficult to precisely reach, in tune. It is all about the player, and motor memorization. One fraction of a millimeter can change a pitch by an entire half step. The violin isn't difficult to play, but it is difficult to play WELL.
