Avi's encounter with controversial author, politician and born-again America-booster, Ayaan Hirsi Ali who says there's no such thing as Islamophobia. Her extraordinary life story often eclipses the powerful role she is playing in the conversation about Islam and terrorism. As she herself said recently, "Right now the media are still lapping it up: a black woman who criticizes Islam."

kapitankartoon Says:
Dec 19, 2008 - Avi Lewis should shut up and let this brave woman finish her statements. He has that liberal BEER GOGGEL way of looking at things the way he wants to see them rather than what they really are. Islam is the most hateful religion today and this woman is trying to help western democracy! Ayaan Ali is a hero!

Dec 22, 2008 - "is there a school where they teach you these american cliche? Is this the part of your application process?" Yes Avi, its the American Enterprise Institute.

Dec 24, 2008 - The Zionist jew is a parasite and a thief. Whether from the Palestinians, Germans, Russians, Americans... The jew has only brought debt, war and terrorism to America. Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Pearle, Kristol, Feith...all 'Israel first' "American" jews that are the architects of the war in Iraq. stormfront,org/jewish/whorules ,html This is how the jew manipulates Americans and is now using this liar Ayaan. They don't control the Internet - yet, so keep spreading the truth.

Dec 25, 2008 - An intelligent and logical person interviewed by a buffoon who should have no business being on TV. I'm ashamed that my tax dollars have paid for this sad excuse for journalism until it was thankfully cancelled.
cba712 Says:
Dec 26, 2008 - The Moroccan murderer should be condemned. But Ayaan has no theological background and as such has no authority on the subject.Period. She comes from Somalia which is not known for producing scholars..in fact she shares many traits with the pirates - opportunistic person who would say anything for anything.
Enkidada Says:
Dec 26, 2008 - The US of A is the greatest country on earth, if you go by its enlightened, universal constitution, which provides the most potential for the advancement of any single individual and ultimately the country as a whole. But just as any tool, this constitution only works if put in the right hands. Great works of art aren't created by force but by power. Force is only used by those who are powerless. Go Ayaan! Go Barak!
Enkidada Says:
Dec 26, 2008 - Go constitution of the USA! Go citizens of the USA! We are all Americans.
HypatiaTheon Says:
Dec 27, 2008 - ..................................
HypatiaTheon Says:
Dec 27, 2008 - If you see a scholar from a country not known for producing scholars, would you murmur your eyes as if the Angels of Heaven played some cunning deception on you? Elitism gone awry. And what need is there on theology if Ayaan once was in the religion she is now the critic of (and admittedly knows about it in as much and more than the scholars in the Mosques)? Learning Islam as a theologian doesn't teach you a grain of what it means to be a Muslim than the person who actually was a Muslim once.
HypatiaTheon Says:
Dec 27, 2008 - Even so one doesn't has to have PhD in theology to discuss on religious issues. It's not like the higher reaches of Quantum theoretical physics whose problems are explored by people with the appropriate qualifications.

Jan 3, 2009 - Muhammad raped Aisha when the little girl was only nine years old. Does that sound like a prophet from God? sounds more like jerk Muhammad was an android gone amuck. Muhammad didn't even allow little Aisha to hold on to her doll as he raped her. Evil Muhammad owned slaves. Does that sound like a prophet from God? Muhammad was incestious. Muhammad took his son's wife away from him, & then married her, & then he said it pleased Allah. Did the evil desires of that sex maniac Muhammad come from God?
Kaderie Says:
Jan 4, 2009 - I marvel at the host's inability to comprehend scale. Yes, the evangelical movement in the US is bad and threatens the seperation of church and state, but it isn't in any way comparable to the Islamic movement Besides, what IS he trying to say? She criticises the atrocities in the Islamic world and he's pointing out (in comparison) minor human rights violation in the West. Does us not being perfect somehow magically make Islamic ideology better? BULLSHIT. Fight injustice wherever you find it.
Kaderie Says:
Jan 4, 2009 - @IdleBadger No, Radical Christianity at its worst is abortion clinic bombings, witch hunts (yes, in modern-day Africa) and ranting against the use of condoms in AIDS-stricken African countries. So, yes, "atrocities". Of course, still only a fraction of the suffering radical Islam causes.
JeffBeck13 Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - ya but it was the societies founded on christian values that discover aids and how 2 prevent it. you implying that Africans wouldn't have aids these days if Christians didn't come in and "rant" about the use of condoms.
Kaderie Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - ...what? Where am I saying that AIDS wouldn't exist without Christians? I mean...WHAT?! I'm saying that there are Christians in African countries right now, who actively discourage/forbid people from using condoms, thus helping the disease infect even more people than it already has. Mind you, they are not the only ones. Muslims, too, preach against the evils of condoms, claiming, among other things, that there are tiny holes in condoms allowing for AIDS to infect the other person anyway.
Kaderie Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - Also? Don't give me that bullcrap about how the discovery and prevention of AIDS is somehow founded on christian values. It isn't. It's founded on heretic science called medicine, and its prevention? well, really, even you cannot honestly delude yourself into thinking THAT. I mean, for FMS' sake, according to one of the largest christian institutions this prevention method is forbidden and immoral.
JeffBeck13 Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - lol i knew u didn't mean that. but you were equating the evils of Islam with those of Christianity and that is LUDICROUS!
Kaderie Says:
Jan 5, 2009 - ...What? WTF?! I mean... what the fucking fuck? Yeah, I was totally equating them! Eeeeexcept for the part were I wrote IN MY VERY FIRST POST "Of course, still only a fraction of the suffering radical Islam causes." Learn to read.

Dec 18, 2008 - Ayaan she is a very brave woman, we are not in the possition to jude her or anybody, because anyone in her possition wouldnt do not a single act of courage like she did. She follow her convictions even though her culture, religion, goberment, friends and family where against her. She obviously sees America with a very good democracy, and we would all think the same if we had lived very little on Somalia or Kenia. Bravo Ayaan you are one of my inspirations.
