Dec 26, 2008 - What are you going to compare it to, genius? The badly recorded demo from the Joy Division days? Ok, the live performance of Ceremony at Birmingham University is great but it's still not even a developed song. Refrain from saying stupid things like that.

Dec 27, 2008 - Really great video! I loved the shade, washed out grey, and choice of scenes. All I'd say is pan less, more panorama? Either way, really good. Thanks!

Dec 27, 2008 - I'd say this has just as much emotion. As they're Ian's best friends playing and singing a song he wrote just before he died. If i had to play my dead best friend's song, i think it would be pretty emotional.

Jan 7, 2009 - The fact is that they only played it 3 times as Joy Division (i mean with ian still alive). There isn't any good recording of any of those performances. Either you barely hear Ian's voice, or the instruments are cut sometimes. I think new order did a great job with this. You can smell Joy Division's spirit yet in it.
leeraconteur Says:
Jan 7, 2009 - It's amazing, you can hear the different tone in the guitar and bass without Ian. This version is so much more upbeat.

Jan 8, 2009 - joy division has a following here in hong kong!

Dec 24, 2008 - OH Fuck Yes!!!!!!!. You dude know exactly what you are talking about. Ian Curtis was the "Direction" of what is now called "ALTERNATIVE" music. Curtis knew what was coming, unfortunately,he could stay with us long enough to see the outcome. Love will tear us apart. RIP..... Ian
