Aug 10, 2008 - Forget Ceroc. I know dancing is meant to be fun But you are actually supposed to listen to and dance to the music, which unfortunately very few cerocers do. I blame the teachers who generally only have a few months dancing experience (of Ceroc). They should also tell the girls to follow the lead and not try and lead themselves. Just a thought.

Aug 10, 2008 - I agree with you whole heartedly. These days I prefer dancing to more bluesy tracks as they give so much more opportunity for musical interpretation. As for following - a big yes to that. Having said that I think it would do most leaders good to have a spell at following - it would give a good insight into what the followers look for in a good lead ;-)

Oct 3, 2008 - Its crap in the UK. All middle aged people and just a beginner and intermediate class. I gave it up when I came back here.

Oct 3, 2008 - I started it in New Zealand and its much much better over there. A lot more people in their 20's do it so your not dancing next to a sweaty old man and you can go a lot further with it as there is an advanced class. The classes are conducted better too. I gave it up when I came here.

Oct 5, 2008 - crap in the uk? im 17- that middle aged to u? most of my friends dance aswell. yes theres just a beginners and intermediate usually, however theres weekenders to enhance your skills, and in freestyles if you're doing it right you should be learning all the time from you're partners. They do tell girls to follow the lead.. its just some women find it hard. all techers have been doing it years aswell. you have no idea what you're on about

Oct 21, 2008 - Ceroc can be great fun. I got to intermediate level (here in UK) but gave up cos there were never enough men, so us gals had to spend most of the evening sitting it out.. Come on guys, get yuz feet moving!!!

Mar 2, 2008 - Pretty neat, particularly on the part of the guy on the right, who must be carrying about eight stone overweight.
